Well, here we go. How hard have you tried to get that picture perfect family photo? Did it end with shouting, "JUST SIT STILL!!" Our kids always seem to have another adgenda. I sort of love these candid, imperfect, this is what you get family photos.
The above is one of our family. When you've got a six year old, four year old and twin one year olds...this is what you get. They are curious, they are full of adventure and energy, I love them dearly and I love this photo of them, just as they are.

Today, I want to encourage you to embrace this life you have been gifted. Sometimes all the days feel the same, the same oatmeal, out of the house at the same time, the same child refusing to brush their teeth. But it's all been a gift, and you've been chosen to open it, and love it and are responsible for nurturing it. That fish you got for your birthday, isn't going to feed itself, and that grumpy four year old, refusing to brush her teeth, isn't going to dust it off, put on a smile and get her toothbrush. The grumpy child is a gift, and needed a silly mom today to shine a flashlight in her mouth while she brushed to make sure the job got done.
