Do you remember doing this? Do you do this? Kick around in the leaves, stare up at the trees,  and the clouds blowing by. 
This little girl, with a pea sized attention span, noticed, and smiled and paused to appreciate the beauty around her. She lives only in the exact moment that she's in, she's not worried about how she's going to make it through the long nights as the rest of her teeth grow. She just paused and smiled and appreciated...and she made me do the same.
Thank you beautiful little Etta Bloom, for being yet another teacher in my life. Someone to remind me of the little lessons that a life too busy can erase.
Today as you walk to or from work, or when you're outside with kids, playing, or picking them up from school, or maybe just checking the mail, would you pause a minute, today, to smile and appreciate the beautiful gifts God had created for us.  And also, don't underestimate all those who could be a teacher in your life.
